Hallmark Adventure Travel has been offering car hire
services to international clients for quite a period. The
well-maintained fleet of 20 vehicles is renewed every three
years to ensure that the client gets the very best. For
chauffeur services we have brought together a team of experienced
English and French-speaking tour guide drivers. So remember
that when you book a vehicle with Hallmark Adventure
Travel you are with the experts. Our cars can also
be taken across the borders to Uganda and Tanzania.
Among the other services we offer are airport
transfers, taxi services, limousine chauffeur services,
conference transfers and intercity shuttle services. Below
are some of the prices for our motor vehicles. Please contact
us to confirm the latest rates as those given below are
just a guideline whereas the rates change without notice
and are related to several factors including taxes, import
duty etc.

The above rates are inclusive of comprehensive
insurance cover per day. Also included is a free mileage
of 170 kilometers per day. An extra charge per kilometer
applies after the first 170 kms and is different against
each type of vehicle. Please contact us for details. For
direct clients a discount is given for long periods of hire.

Excess Liability

This is the amount required by the insurance firm in the
event of excessive damage to the motor vehicle or theft
Prestige Chauffeur Drive
Offers a discreet and comfortable service on most luxurious
vehicles with specially trained chauffeurs available at
US$ 20 per day (eight hours), extra chauffeur hours are
charged at US$5 per hour.
Payment
FULL PAYMENT FOR PERIOD OF HIRE PLUS THE ESTIMATED DISTANCE
IS MADE AT THE TIME OF HIRE WHILE A 30% DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED
TO RESERVE A VEHICLE.
Terms and Conditions of Motor Vehicle Hire
Driver’s
License
The hirer and/or authorized driver must have held a full
and valid driving license for a minimum of 2 years up to
and including the time of hire. That license must bear no
current endorsement during the last two years. A driving
license from the country of residence or an International
Drivers Permit are generally acceptable, provided that the
above terms apply. Where regulations require a local permit,
our office will give immediate assistance.
- Chauffeur driven vehicles are available
on request.
- Driver’s working hours is 0800 hrs
to 1800 hrs.
- Driver’s overtime after 1800 hrs US$5
per hour
Driver’s
Age
The hirer and/or authorized driver must be over 23 years
of age and under 70 years of age. The hirer and/or authorized
driver must also be in possession of proper means of identification
other than a driving license.
Deposit
Full payment for the period of hire and the estimated distance
is to be made when taking over the vehicle in addition a
deposit of US$900 for class A,B,C. Class E is US$1,200 is
required from every hirer.

Insurance
A compulsory daily insurance charge is payable by the hirer.
All our vehicles are insured but in all cases the first
US$1200 of any damage is payable by the hirer. Windscreen
and broken glasses are the responsibility of the hirer.
The Collision Damage Waiver does not cover loss of tyres
and tools.
Car hire Agreement
Self-drivers are hired subject to the company’s standard
form of agreement, notwithstanding the above conditions
apply. The Company reserves the right to refuse a hirer
at any time, without assigning any reason.
Security
The vehicle must be locked when unattended. The vehicle
must not be parked in a public area for long periods. The
hirer is responsible for the security of the vehicle and
in the event of theft is liable for payment of Kshs US$1,
200. The hirer must not carry passengers for reward or gain.
Terms of Payment
Payment can also be made by charge cards (i.e. Visa, MasterCard
etc) for the estimated mileage and total cost of the rental
will be charged on completion excluding petrol. Minimum
of 170Km per day charged. Cars hired in Kenya can be driven
to Tanzania and Uganda at an additional cost of US$180 for
processing the regional motor vehicle insurance and paying
other charges for taking a vehicle across the common borders.
