This unique luxury trip combines the best that Africa has
to offer giving the visitor an exhilarating experience never to be forgotten
as s/he tours Kenya. The trips takes you north past the equator to Aberdare
Mountains with its varied bird life, wildlife and botanical diversity.
After a night in a Treehotel where wildlife come to drink in the evening
by a floodlit waterhole we continue to Sweetwaters and sample its rich
animal kingdom which includes the chimpanzee and the rhino among other
wildlife. The night is spent in the Luxury Tented Camps of Sweetwaters
which are in a class of their own. We have a taste of the opulence offered
by Mount Kenya Safari Club with its breathtaking views of the snow peaked
mountain that goes by a similar name before continuing further north to
Samburu Game Park where an antelope was adopted by a lioness a few years
ago. Samburu is also renown for its peculiar species of wildlife that
include the antelope giraffe or the gerenuk, the Somali Ostrich, Beisa's
Oryx - a unique antelope, the reticulated giraffe among other bush giants
such as the elephant, buffalo, lions, cheetahs and rhinos.

Having completed a tour of the north we now proceed to
the Great Rift Valley with its picturesque view of extinct volcanoes,
long alkaline lakes and escarpments. Lake Nakuru offers an unforgettable
vista of thousands of flamingoes, pelicans and other migratory birds.
Our trip ends in the Maasai Mara which is the seventh wonder of the world.
The Maasai Mara is famed for being the venue of the annual migration of
thousands of wildebeest from the Serengeti National Park, this spectacle
has been named as the greatest show of the animal kingdom. The proliferation
and the density of wildlife in this park continues to draw hundreds of
thousands of tourists every year and the magic of the Mara never seems
to end and so this visit forms the climax of the "tour of a lifetime."

Day 1: Nairobi
Pick up at the airport with our courtesy bus then transfer to your hotel,
the serena Hotel (this is a twenty minutes drive from the airport) check
in and spend the afternoon either relaxing or touring the cosmopolis of
Nairobi. The tour includes visits to the parliament, the national museum,
the Snake Park, the railway museum etc. After dinner an overnight at the
Landmark ends our first day in Africa.
DAY 2: Nairobi - Aberdare National
Park
After an early start, we drive through the rich farmlands of the central
highlands seeing coffee and pineapple plantations and colorful villages.
Our drive to the Aberdare Country Club enjoys fine views of Mount Kenya.
Lunch is served at the Club; then transfer to the Ark, which is situated
right in the very heart of the Aberdare National Park close to a waterhole.
Here you can view closely Elephant, Rhino, Giant forest Hog, Antelope,
Leopard, Buffalo and on occasions the rare and elusive Bongo. Lush green
trees provide the ideal setting for baboons and colorful birds. At night
enjoy illuminated game viewing from the gallery as the animals come to
drink. Dinner and overnight stay at the Ark.

Day 3: The Ark - Sweetwaters Game
Reserve
Depart the famous tree hotel of the Ark after breakfast and proceed in
the early morning for the Sweetwaters Game Reserve, a popular destination
for those interested in conservation efforts in Kenya. This reserve is
a private concession which is home to the only chimps in Kenya and has
a abundance of wildlife including rhinos, buffalos, hippos, giraffes,
zebras, lions, cheetah and many other predators. Activities at the luxury
tented camp include game walks, birding trips, boating and horse riding.

Day 4: Mount Kenya Safari Club
Leave Sweetwaters and continue through rich farmlands growing corn among
other subsistence crops to this renown luxury resort that has the movie
star William Holden and the oil billionaire Adnan Khasshogi among its
guest list. Please note that one has to dress "appropriately"
for dinner; gentlemen in a jacket and a tie and ladies adorning long evening
dresses. Many activities are available for the outdoors person and this
includes trout fishing, riding, playing tennis, swimming or bird watching.
All meals at the lodge.

DAY 5: Mount Kenya Safari Club
- Samburu
After breakfast depart north and continue to the plateau that leads eventually
into the hot and dusty bush scrub land of the Samburu. Note the brightly
arrayed tribal dress of the samburu people. On arrival at Samburu Lodge
we partake of lunch then have a siesta or relax in the swimming pool.
Afternoon game drives, returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Many distinct species of wildlife exist here including Reticulated Giraffe,
the shy long necked antelope Gerenuk, Grevy's Zebra and the blue legged
Somali Ostrich.
DAY 6: Samburu Game Park
A full day is spent game viewing in this panoramic national park - a scenario
of semi-arid land, treeless plains and rugged landscape. We focus on trying
to trace the species peculiar to this region north of the equator including
the Uaso Nyiro crocodile and Beisa's Oryx. All our meals and overnight
at Samburu Lodge.
DAY 7: Samburu - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast our drive takes us westwards through spectacular
countryside towards the Nyahururu Falls (formerly the Thompson Falls)
then south to Lake Nakuru National Park renowned home of millions of Flamingoes
among other bird life and several wildlife species including rhino, leopard,
giraffe, zebra, a large variety of antelopes etc. Lunch at Lion Hill Lodge
is followed by afternoon game drives to locate the game that are to be
found at this Rift Valley Lake. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge.

DAY 8: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara
After an early breakfast we leave this lakeside resort and proceed through
Maasai country spotted with a number of extinct volcanoes. Our drive takes
us over the Western escarpment of the Great Rift Valley (formed when tectonic
forces thrust part of the earths' crust upwards leaving one of the longest
and most spectacular canyons in the world, running from the Middle East
to Mozambique) into the Maasai Mara
triangle. We arrive at the Mara Simba Lodge for a late lunch. After lunch
we proceed to flash out the numerous wildlife that are to be found in
this famous game sanctuary among which are: -
elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, topi, leopard, cheetah, lion, rhino, ostrich,
impala, gazelle and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba
Lodge.
DAY 9: Maasai Mara
A full day is spent driving through the Savannah lands of the Mara, which
forms the northern corridor of the Serengeti plains of Tanzania. In July
or August every year, the great migration of the wildebeest is witnessed
here; one of the most fascinating sights in the animal kingdom as millions
of these antelopes move into the Mara from Tanzania in search of water
and greener postures. Behind them follow the predators- lions, jackals,
and hyenas - picking out the weak, aged and sick and leaving the strong
to continue for another season. After the viewing of a golden sunset by
the campgrounds we take our dinner and proceed to retire for the day at
Mara Simba Lodge.
DAY 10: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
Pre-breakfast game drives to see the few animals that might not
have been sighted as yet. Return to the Sarova Mara for breakfast
then leaving the game sanctuary of the Mara we travel towards
Nairobi, which is reached in the mid afternoon. The evening is
spent at leisure and after a complimentary dinner at the Panaris
Hotel you are transfered to the airport for your flight back home.

SAMBURU/SWEETWATERS - 4 DAYS - HAT 388
DAY 1. NAIROBI/ SAMBURU
Leave Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley for Samburu National Park
arriving at the Samburu Serena in time for lunch. After lunch
proceed for an afternoon game drive in search of black manned
lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and other plains game
until 6.00 pm. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
DAY 2. SAMBURU.
Game drives before breakfast, after breakfast and after lunch in our special
9 seater Nissan minibus. Enjoy a nature walk on the 3rd day afternoon
to the Samburu Villages or Manyatta.

Highlights of Samburu National Park
The Samburu National Reserve is one of the most colourful and dramatic
game viewing areas of Kenya. The reserve contains the whole range of East
African Wildlife, but animals of specific interest are crocodile, gerenuk,
dik-dik, grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and beisa oryx. The
bird life is strikingly numerous and colourful, perhaps the most impresive
sight is the immense flock of tufted vulturine guinea fowl which make
their way each afternoon to the river bank to drink.
Return to the Lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, proceed for another game drive up to lunch break.
Drive back to the Lodge for lunch. Go for a further afternoon
game drive till 06.00 Pm. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 SAMBURU/ SWEETWATER
After breakfast, leave Samburu for Nairobi with game drive enroute
for Sweetwaters arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure
with a possibility of visiting the churches as requested by you.
Dinner and overnight at the Luxury Camp.
DAY 4. SWEETWATER/NAIROBI
After breakfast depart for a guided walk by the rangers, till late morning
when you will be taken to the hotel to take your lunch then depart for
Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.

DAY 1: NAIROBI
On arrival met by our coutesy team and transfered to Fairview
or Panafric Hotel. Afternoon tour of the city of Nairobi then

DAY 2: NAIROBI/MAASAI
MARA
Drive through lush Kikuyu farmland to the edge of the Rift Valley.
Descend the Rift Valley and drive via Narok to Maasai Mara Game
Reserve. The Maasai Mara adjoins Tanzania's Serengeti National
Park and shares in its abundant wildlife. The Maasai Mara is famous
for its black-maned lion. Arrive at lunchtime, after which you
proceed for a game drive. Drive back for overnight at Mara Sopa/Keekorok
Safari Lodge
DAY 3: MAASAI MARA/LAKE
NAKURU
Leave this famous park after an early breakfast game driving en
route to Lake Nakuru with picnic lunch. Lake Nakuru is located
on the floor of the Great Rift Valley and is also home of thousands
birds. An afternoon game drive takes us around the lake; home
of the famous Pink Flamingo. Lake Nakuru is truly an ornithologist's
paradise. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova
Lion Hill.
DAY 4: NAKURU - SAMBURU
After breakfast drive north up the escarpment of the Great Rift
Valley with its panoramic views arriving at the game sanctuary
of Samburu in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives to flash out
the peculiar wildlife species that are to be found in this park
including the antelope giraffe, grevy's zebra and Beisa's Oryx.
Dinner and overnight at Serena Samburu Lodge or Samburu Lodge.
DAY 5: SAMBURU
Full day game viewing in Samburu in search of the Oryx, Gerenuk,
reticulated giraffe, crocodile and hippos along the Ewaso-Nyiro
River. Meals and overnight at the lodge.
DAY 6: SAMBURU - SWEETWATERS
Leave after breakfast driving south along the slopes of Mount
Kenya to the Sweetwaters Game Reserve which is famed for its population
of chimpanzees, rhinos and numerous other wildlife species. Lunch
at the luxury tents of Sweetwaters before a wonderful time of
game viewing in this private concession that hosts a myriad game
species. Dinner and overnight at the Luxury Camp.
DAY 7: SWEETWATERS - NAIROBI
Depart after breakfast and drive further south through Kikuyu
country to the city of Nairobi with lunch at the Panari Luxury
Hotel en route to the airport for your flight.
