The largest intact crater in the world and second largest extinct
volcano in the World has a spectacular concentration of wildlife.
The crater rim is wooded with mountain forest vegetation. Its
oval in shape and 20Km in diameter, 100sq miles in area, 2000
feet deep and 2286metres above sea level. Called the natural zoo
or the eighth wonder of the world, Ngorongoro has the largest
intact caldera in the world. Steep walls rising 610 meters from
the crater floor surround it. The crater it self covers an area
of 265 square kilometers and the whole park covers an area of
8,288 square kilometers. It is a home up to 25,000 larger mammals
almost half of them Zebras and wildebeests. There are also gazelles,
buffaloes, elands; heart beasts warthogs, and others. Carnivores
here are hyenas, jackals, foxes cheetah, leopards and Black mane
lions 100 species of Birds not found in Serengeti have been spotted
here. Countless Flamingoes from a pink blanket over the soda lake.
This crater has been declared a world Heritage site. Within Ngorongoro
where Olduvai Gorge is located. A home of man. And to the North
is Loony Langue Mountain - a gray forbidding perfect cone that
is a still an active Volcano.

safari covers the wonders of northern Tanzania and takes the traveler
to both Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife viewing
tours. The tour can either start in Nairobi or Arusha and end
in either of the two cities. Please note that the Arusha departure
is for 2pm whereas the Nairobi departure is for 7.30am
Day 1 Nairobi/Lake Manyara
Pick from your Nairobi hotel in the early hours and depart for
Lake Manyara National Park for a late afternoon/early evening
game drive via Namanga border town for immigration formalities
and Arusha for lunch. The main attractions here are the tree-climbing
lions. The park is small in size but the terrain is diverse. The
vegetation comprises of groundwater forest, open grassland, swamp
and acacia woodland with giant mahogany and fig trees. The park
is home to a wide variety of mammals and birds. Dinner and overnight
at a lodge.

Day 2 Ngorongoro
After breakfast, taking picnic lunches with you, drive to the
Ngorongoro crater and descend down its walls for a full day crater
tour with a picnic lunch. It is a thrilling experience to descend
down and out of the narrow and steep crater walls of 670 metres
depth, which has earned this crater, also the largest in the world
the title ''the eight wonder in the world''. Flamingos can be
seen seasonally in the Crater Lake, depending on the water level
as these birds only breed in shallow water. Many animals, which
have made this crater their permanent home, can be seen on the
crater floor. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Day 3 Ngorongoro / Nairobi
After breakfast, depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Arusha
for lunch followed by departure for Nairobi via Namanga border
town, arriving in the evening.

Day 1
Nairobi - Arusha National Park
Pick from your Nairobi hotel after breakfast then drive
south through grassland savanna country to reach Namanga the Tanzania
- Kenya border post after three hours' drive on tarmac/paved road.
After completing immigration formalities we proceed further south
on good road to Arusha National Park, one of the most beautiful
parks in Tanzania. After lunch proceed on a driving cum walking
safari to sample the delights of this veritable paradise. The
view of Mount Meru, Mount Kilimanjaro and the Momella Lakes are
not easily forgotten. Dinner and overnight at your campsite.
Day 2
Arusha National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast drive further south past Arusha, a small but bustling
town, Tanzania's tourist capital, for Karatu campsite which is
situated in the Ngorongoro Conservancy. Dinner and an overnight
stay at our campsite sharing stories and experiences by the campfire
with other travelers and your guides.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, taking picnic lunches with you, drive to the
Ngorongoro crater and descend down its walls for a full day crater
tour with a picnic lunch. It is a thrilling experience to descend
down and out of the narrow and steep crater walls of 670 meters
depth, which has earned this crater, also the largest in the world
the title ''the eight wonder in the world''. Flamingos can be
seen seasonally in the Crater Lake, depending on the water level
as these birds only breed in shallow water. Wildlife abounds and
numerous animals which have made this crater their permanent home,
can be seen on the crater floor. Return to the crater rim in the
evening and transfer back to Karatu for dinner and an overnight
stay.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha - Nairobi
After breakfast, depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Arusha
for lunch followed by departure for Nairobi via Namanga border
town, arriving in the Kenyan capital in the evening.

Day 1: Nairobi/ Ngorongoro
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel.
Depart for Arusha town via the Namanga border town for immigration
formalities. Arrive in time for lunch then proceed to the crater
rim for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro
After breakfast, taking a picnic lunches with you descend down
to the crater floor for a full day of tracking game with your
guide. The crater is 670m deep and 260km square wide, making it
the largest in the world. The crater contains all the big five,
hippos, cheetah, antelopes and spotted hyena. Black rhino and
leopard can be seen by luck as the two are extremely shy and elusive.
The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the
Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard,
black smith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Other
game such as velvet monkey, jackal, foxes, rock and tree hyraxes,
warthog, gnu, zebra and hare can be seen with relative ease. You
will have a break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site.
In the evening you will ascend up and out of the narrow and steep
crater walls, which is a thrilling exercise. Dinner and overnight
at the campsite.
Day 3: Ngorongoro/ Nairobi
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch, bypassing maize
and coffee plantations in the crater’s immediate environs,
after lunch, drive to Nairobi arriving in the evening.
